You have selected the top-level topic for these hints. Use this page to write us only if you have a general comment about these hints. Do not use this form to ask a question about a specific puzzle. If you are stuck, please return to our hints for The Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes, locate the area that most closely describes where you are stuck, and then use the "Ask the Author" link from that page. Due to the number of visitors we receive, we are unable to repeat information we have already provided. Every page's "Ask the Author" tells the author exactly where you were last reading -- commenting from the most relevant page is the only way we can tell whether you've read the correct hints before you write us.
If you're stuck and can't find any hints at all to help, our UHS Reader software for Windows lets you search or print out the entire text of our hints. You may find the UHS Reader an easier way to find the hints you need than our free web-based hints.
There are also a few questions that we cannot answer:
- Any sort of technical question or requests for replacement manuals, CDs, or CD keys. We are in no way associated with the people who make the games. We cannot help you if your game crashes (or won't start), if you have problems with the sound or graphics in your game, or if you've lost your manual or CD. If you have a technical question, please ask the game's publisher instead.
- Questions about other games. As soon as we have hints for a game, we will post them for everyone to read. You may suggest hints for another game here, but we will not give answers about specific puzzles in those other games.
- Questions about other people's hints. We can help you with what we have written in our own UHS hints. We cannot answer questions about anything you read in any other walkthrough, cheat, or strategy guide.
